It all began with a sunset by the sea.

Our founder was on a trip when the strap of her beloved bag broke, scattering its contents of sand and shells onto the beach. In that moment, she wasn't frustrated; she was struck by a clear vision: Why couldn't there be a bag that possessed a designer's soul, yet embodied the carefree spirit of the coast—a bag that was both beautiful and steadfast?

It should be a work of art, perfect with a flowing dress against the evening glow. It should also be a reliable companion, capable of carrying the sound of waves, a good book, and every adventure.

And so, the seed for JeeMou was planted. "Jee" represents a spirit of vitality and emotion, while "Mou" is our founder's namesake, signifying a lasting promise.

We sought out the most resilient natural raffia from artisans on the Mediterranean coast and learned age-old weaving techniques from Southeast Asia. The creation of each bag is not a rushed act of mass production; it is a process where craftspeople weave sunlight, ocean breeze, and time itself into every stitch with their hands. We are obsessed with every detail: a perfectly placed inner pocket, an adjustable and detachable strap, a meticulously carved natural button—these seemingly small insistences are all to safeguard your moment of grace and ease.
